BioRaw™️ Clove Drops

Clove Essential Oil

Summary:
Clove essential oil is a warm, spicy oil known for its strong antiseptic, analgesic, and antimicrobial properties. It’s often used for oral care, pain relief, and immune support, and has a long history in traditional medicine.

Source:

  • Steam distilled from the dried flower buds (sometimes stems and leaves) of the clove tree (Syzygium aromaticum).

Origin:

  • Native to the Maluku Islands (Indonesia)

  • Now widely cultivated in India, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, and Zanzibar

Benefits:

  • Natural pain relief (especially dental pain and sore gums)

  • Antiseptic for wounds, cuts, and skin infections

  • Antimicrobial and antifungal activity

  • Supports immune system and fights infections

  • Aids digestion and reduces nausea (in traditional use)

  • Acts as an insect repellent

Uses:

  • Oral care: Diluted and used in mouthwash or toothpaste for toothaches and gum care (often in clove oil gel form)

  • Topical: Applied (well diluted) to sore muscles, joints, or insect bites

  • Aromatherapy: Diffused for immune support and a warm, comforting scent

  • Massage: In very small amounts, blended for warming effect

  • Natural cleaning: Added to homemade antimicrobial cleaners

FDA Cautions:

  • Not FDA-approved to treat or cure diseases

  • Highly potent – must be diluted before skin application to prevent burns or irritation

  • Toxic if ingested in large amounts – even small doses can be harmful to children

  • Can cause mucous membrane irritation – avoid use in sensitive areas

  • Consult with a healthcare provider before use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or with bleeding disorders (it has mild blood-thinning properties)

  • May interact with medications, especially anticoagulants
